Collision at the intersection of Stanger Street and Somtseu Road leaves 4 injured

Just after 9pm last night Rescue Care paramedics were called to a serious collision at the intersection of Stanger Street and Somtseu Road.

On arrival paramedics found that two vehicles had collided in the junction before one overturned coming to rest on its side. Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that three occupants from one car had sustained various injuries whilst the driver from the other vehicle was also injured. Advanced Life Support intervention was needed to stabilize one of the passengers before carefully removing her from the vehicle. Once all of the injured had been stabilized they were transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further care.

It is unclear what caused the collision however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
