A truck, car, taxi and bus collided into one another while travelling on the M1 before Grayston drive in Sandton.
Paramedics arrived on scene to find that the car had caught alight after the impact. Fortunately the driver had managed to get out of the vehicle when it started to burn and only suffered moderate injuries as a result of the crash.
Luckily, only 11 people out of all of the people on scene suffered injuries and they were all transported to hospitals by ambulance in a stable condition. The bus and taxi had been full of passengers, but most of them had walked away from the scene injury free.
The highway was closed for a while as paramedics and the Fire and Rescue department performed their duties on scene.
