Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident on the R26 about five kilometres from Fouriesburg this evening after 20h00.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a light delivery vehicle and heavy goods vehicle had collided head-on. The female driver of the light delivery vehicle tragically lost her life while the driver of the heavy goods vehicle sustained moderate injuries.
The man was treated on scene before he was transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
