Alternators
The alternator is the main power source for a vehicle and is responsible for keeping the battery fully charged as well as supplying power to all the electrical components in the vehicle.
A faulty alternator could result in excess voltage in the electrical system, which could also damage critical and expensive electrical components in the electrical system of the vehicle’s engine control unit (ECU) and in-car entertainment system.

Starters
