Two people have died after their vehicle collided with a heavy goods truck on the R 509(Koster Road) this evening at around 19h50. Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the male driver and a female rear passenger had tragically died on impact due to the extensive injuries that they sustained, another male passenger had sustained life threatening injuries and was in a critical condition.
After paramedics stabilised him and placed him on a ventilator, they airlifted the patient to the Charlotte Maxeke hospital for the care that he required.
