A man has died and one other has been left with moderate injuries following a motor vehicle collision on Springfield Road in Musgrave early Sunday morning.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene to find a VW Citi golf had collided with the concrete barrier. Unfortunately the driver had already succumbed to his extensive injuries and there was nothing the paramedics could do for him. He was declared deceased on arrival.
Remarkably the other gentleman and only passenger of the vehicle escaped with only minor injuries and was treated on scene before being transported to hospital by ambulance for further care.
The cause of the incident and the events preceeding it are unknown and the necessary authorities are investigating further.
