Rescue Care paramedics responded to a collision involving two taxis and two cars on Quality Street Bridge in Wentworth just after 3pm on Saturday.
On arrival paramedics found that two taxis and two cars had collided at the intersection on the Quality Street bridge. A quick assessment revealed that seven people had sustained various injuries. They were stabilized by Rescue Care and ER24 on the scene before being transported by ambulance to various Durban Hospitals for further care that they required.
It is unclear what caused the collision however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
Traffic was severely affected as there was a large fuel spillage and vehicle were severely damaged in the intersection.
