18 people injured in 3 car pile up after Spaghetti Junction in Durban

Rescue Care paramedics were called to a serious collision on the N2 North bound just after Spaghetti Junction in Durban just after 12pm today.

On arrival paramedics found that a fully laden minibus taxi and two vehicles had collided on the North bound carriageway and ended up in the centre medium. Paramedics quickly assessed the injured and found that more resources were needed as eighteen people had sustained various injuries. Once more ambulances arrived all of the injured were stabilized on the scene before being transported to various Durban Hospitals for further care that they required.

It is unclear what caused the collision however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.

Traffic was severely affected as two lanes out of four were closed whilst emergency personal worked to treat the injured.
