Odendaalsrus, Free State – 13 December
14 People sustained injuries, including two children aged four and eleven, and two other passengers died on the R30 between Allandridge and Odendaalsrus in the Free State this morning.
It is believed that a taxi and a BMW sedan collided head on injuring 14 passengers and killing one passenger on the scene.
ER24 paramedics along with other emergency and rescue workers had to triage the patients according to their injuries before they were transported to the Bongani, Tushanong and Katlehong hospitals in the area.
One other passenger sadly passed away due to severe injuries shortly after arriving at hospital.
According to witnesses, one of the vehicles veered into the oncoming lane just before the collision occurred.
