A man in his 20’s was trapped in the wreck of his hatchback vehicle after it overturned on the N12, 30km from Potchefstroom at around 7pm last night.
ER24 and other rescue services found the young driver still inside the vehicle, trapped in an awkward position, making extrication difficult.
It took rescuers and paramedics an hour to stabelise him and extricate him safely from the wreck as the small car came to a standstill on it’s roof.
He was treated by paramedics for broken bones sustained in the crash and transported to Mediclinic Potchefstroom for further medical treatment.
The man was the only occupant in the vehicle and the cause of the single vehicle crash is unknown
