The severe mechanism involved when this bakkie rolled, forced critical injuries to the driver and killed the passenger near Newcastle late yesterday afternoon.
Paramedics were called to the scene on the N11 where they found that the front passenger had been ejected and suffered fatal trauma and the driver, being kept inside the vehicle by his safety belt, having sustained critical injuries.
He was rushed to the Madadeni Provincial Hospital in Newcastle for further intensive treatment.
