A twelve-year-old-boy has tragically died after he was hit by a car on the N2 near Spaghetti junction this afternoon at around 12h30. Reports from the scene indicate that the child was trying to run across the N2 south when he landed in front of a vehicle.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the child lying on the roadway with life-threatening injuries. Paramedics worked fervently for about thirty minutes to try and resuscitate the boy but tragically he was declared dead on scene.
