A man in his 30’s died when the vehicle he was driving rolled during a delivery trip on the R501 on the outskirts of Potchefstroom today.
The man was travelling with two passengers when his vehicle rolled and ejected him approximately 10 meters from the stationary vehicle.
When responding ER24 paramedics arrived on scene they immediately treated the surviving passengers, who were found in a stable condition, for back injuries and thereafter transported them to Potchefstroom Hospital for further treatment.
One of the paramedics on scene commented on the frequency of accidents on this road saying this portion of the R501 was notorious for such incidents because of its narrow nature.
Local authorities are investigating the exact cause if the incident.
