The driver of a light motor vehicle died when his vehicle overturned on the R551 in De Deur, Meyerton this afternoon.
When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene they found that the driver, a man in his 30′s was trapped beneath the vehicle. He died on impact whilst his male passenger was in a critical condition. Both vehicle occupants suffered mainly from extensive head injuries and the passenger was transported to hospital for further treatment.
It is alleged that the two men were driving from work when their vehicle’s wheeling bearings came loose causing it to lose control, hit a tree and overturn.
Local authorities were on scene to investigate the matter further.
