A 30 year old father and his 3 year old son sadly passed away last night and a mother left injured after their hatchback vehicle got struck from the side by a truck between Trichard and Kriel in Mpumalanga.
ER24 Paramedics and other rescue services from the area responded to the call at around 7pm where they found the three occupants.
The man and child had to be declared deceased on the scene before they were extricated from the badly damaged wreck.
The woman form the vehicle, a 20 year old mother, sustained moderate injuries and had to transported to hospital for further medical treatment.
According to witnesses, the passenger vehicle failed to stop at a crossing when the truck collided into them.
The driver of the truck only susianed minor injuries.
