Four people were injured, two seriously so, in a rear-end accident on the N2 south near the Isipingo off ramps this afternoon. Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the patients at the side of the road, after triaging the injured they found that three children and an adult female had been injured, two girls aged eight and nine had sustained serious injuries.
After the injured were stabilized on scene paramedics transported them to a local hospital for the care that they required.
