Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to a pedestrian accident on Inanda Road in Springfield Park, Durban in KZN this morning just before 07h00.
Upon their arrival on scene they found a twenty-five-year-old man in a critical condition after he was knocked over by a motor vehicle.
The man was treated on scene before he was rushed to hospital for the urgent medical care he required.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
