A male motorcyclist died when his motorcycle collided with a tree on Cross Street in Randburg at around 5 o’clock this morning.
Several emergency services arrived on scene and found that the motorcyclist died on impact. His injuries included severe head trauma, broken legs and neck as well as internal abdominal bleeding.
His passenger, also male, survived the crash in a very critical condition having broken multiple bones and lost several pints of blood. He was airlifted airlifted to Charlotte Maxeke Hospital.
The relevant authorities were on scene to investigate further.
