A man has tragically died and another sustained minor injuries in an accident that occurred in Slangspruit, Pietermaritzburg this morning. Reports indicate that the driver of the car veered off the road and collided with a pedestrian.
Netcare 911 paramedics and the Provincial ambulance service arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian lying unresponsive on the roadway, tragically he died on scene due to the extensive injuries that he sustained. The driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries and was walking around on scene.
Paramedics treated the man and then transported him to a local hospital for the care that he required.
