Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a shooting incident on Gerrit Maritz Road in Pretoria North on Saturday morning after 09h40.
Upon their arrival on scene they found a man in a serious condition following the incident.
The man was treated on scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the incident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
