Second multiple patient scene attended by Welkom Paramedics


Another multiple patient collision left it’s mark in the Free State this afternoon.

ER24 Paramedics and local rescue services were called to assist at a collision on Unicorn Street at around 2pm where they found 15 people injured.According to witnesses, one of the two vehicle’s drivers from a taxi and a sedan, are believed to have ignored traffic signs that lead to the crash.Two of the passengers, a three year old child and a woman in her 20′s, sustained serious injuries when the minibus overturned onto it’s side.

Other occupants were lucky to have only sustained mild injuries that had to be taken care of at the Bongani Provincial and St Helena Private Hospitals in Welkom.

Details will be investigated by the relevant authorities.
