On the N12 about 30 km from Potch direction JHB just after 18:00, 3 vehicles have collided. Jaws of life needed to be used to free the drivers of both vehicles who were trapped in there vehicles for more than an hour.
It was reported on scene by one of the eye witnesses that a sedan type vehicle clipped a Mercedes after overtaking. The sedan then veered head-on into a BMW.
Two patients sustained serious injuries and one person was treated on scene for minor injuries.
All patients were removed to local hospitals in Potchefstroom.
