A four-month-old baby was killed along with 7 other people in a collision on the R103 approximately 20km outside Ladysmith yesterday late afternoon.
ER24 and various other emergency services were on scene to discover that a bakkie, truck and taxi had collided.
The collision claimed the lives of 8 of the 10 bakkie occupants, the 2 survivors were teenagers who were trapped in the wreckage and were freed by jaws of life.
They sustained serious injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
The exact cause if this tragic collision is unknown but the local authorities were on scene to investigate.
