Two lives were lost, including a baby, and 13 others injured when the bakkie they were travelling in overturned on the N11 near Durnacol in KwaZulu Natal on Sunday afternoon.
The bakkie overturned, scattering the occupants across a large area where they were found by Paramedics and rescue services.
The patients were triaged according to severity of injury before being transported to the Madadeni Provincial Hospital for further medical treatment.
The exact cause of the accident will subject to further police investigation but common cause suggests that a rear wheel of the bakkie might have burst causing the vehicle to lose control and overturn.
