One man is in a critical condition after his vehicle rolled several times on the N2 north at Umbogintwini hill near Amanzimtoti this morning at around 09h00. Reports indicate that the vehicle was rounding a bend when he veered off the roadway, hit the curb and then flipped, the crumpled remains coming to rest on the centre median.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the patient still trapped in the driver’s seat with critical injuries. After the man was stabilized and deftly immobilized in a Kendrick device, they extricated him and then transported him to an area hospital for the care that he required.
