Shortly after 4pm on Sunday ER24 paramedics received a call for a minibus taxi that overturned on the R21 just outside Tembisa on Johannesburg’s East Rand.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene along with other services and found that a taxi carrying 15 people had left the roadside while taking the R25/Tembisa off ramp, causing the vehicle to overturn several times.
A total of 14 people were treated on scene for minor to moderate injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals by various ambulance services.
Local authorities were on scene to investigate the events leading up to the collision.
