Collision at Durban intersection leaves 4 injured one entrapped

Four people have been injured one seriously so after two vehicles collided at the intersection of Stanger and Argyle Road in Durban today just after 12pm.

On arrival Rescue Care paramedics found that two vehicles had collided in a T Bone manner leaving one person severely injured entrapped in the wreckage. Paramedics immediately called the for Rescue services to assist in cutting the trapped patient free. Advanced Life Support intervention was needed to stabilize the trapped passenger. Once stabilized the passenger was cut free from the wreckage using the jaws of life. He was then carefully extricated from the vehicle and placed in an ambulance. Once all four patients had been stabilized on the scene they were transported to a nearby hospital for the further care that they required.

It is unclear what caused the collision however the necessary authorities were on the scene and will be investigating further.

Traffic was severely affected whilst emergency personal worked to clear the scene.
