Rescue Care paramedics were called to a serious collision on Spine Road outside the pavilion in Westville this afternoon.
On arrival paramedics found that two vehicles had collided in the junction. A 50 year old female was found on the pavement having sustained serious injuries. Paramedics assessed her and stabilized her on the scene before transporting her to a nearby facility for the further care that she required.
It is unclear what caused the collision however it is alledged that an errant party disregarded a traffic signal.
Traffic was severely congested as emergency personal worked to clear the scene.
