A 15-year-old girl was airlifted from the R54 between Potchefstroom and Vereeniging after the vehicle she was travelling in overturned this afternoon.
The girl was left in a critical condition after she and her parents were ejected from their SUV following a collision with another vehicle.
When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene they immediately treated the teenager’s parents (both in their late forties) for moderate injuries and transported them to a nearby hospital by ambulance.
The teenager was airlifted to a Johannesburg hospital for further care.
The exact cause of this collision is under investigation by the local authorities.
