The driver of a Toyota sedan sadly passed away after his vehicle clipped the rear of a truck’s trailer yesterday afternoon.
The collision happened at around 13:30 yesterday afternoon, on the N4 near Ngodwana, Mpumalanga.
When ER24 and other emergency services arrived on the scene, they found that the driver, a man in his 40′s and only occupant of the passenger vehicle, had sustained fatal injuries.
He was declared deceased on the scene by paramedics.
The N4 had to be closed for some time before one lane was later opened to allow traffic through. This lead to severe traffic congestion while the wreckage was being moved.
No one else sustained injury during this incident.
