A man has been found dead early this morning after the vehicle he was driving in hit a pole and overturned before rolling down an embankment on Otto Volek road, Pinetown.
ER24 paramedics were dispatched to the scene at 06h30 this morning, where they discovered the vehicle lying on its roof. Upon examination of the scene, ER24 paramedics discovered that the driver had been partially ejected from the vehicle, suffering major head injuries. The rigor mortise that had began to set in was evidence that the driver had been there for quite some time.
Jaws of life equipment was used to free the man from the wreckage.
The cause of the incident is unknown and investigations are underway.
Motorist are cautioned to please drive safely and obey the rules of the roads at all time.
