ER24 Crews from the Hillcrest base in KZN got dispatched to this burning trailer on the N3 near Mariannhill yesterday afternoon.
The driver of the truck noticed smoke coming from the trailer and quickly stopped the vehicle. He took quick action and managed to unhook the trailer, containing paraffin, and notified emergency services.
Metro Fire Department arrived on the scene and got the fire under control while the driver was treated for smoke inhalation.
He was later discharged from hospital.
