Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident on President Fouche Drive in Randburg this afternoon.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a motorcycle and motor vehicle had collided resulting in the motorcyclist sustaining critical injuries.
The Netcare1 helicopter was activated to airlift the critically injured woman to hospital for the urgent medical care she required.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events are unknown and will remain the subject of a police investigation.
