Fourteen people were left with various injuries yesterday just after 12pm after the taxi they were in collided with a vehicle at the intersection of Umgeni Road and Supply Road in Springfield Park.
Rescue Care and ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the taxi commuters on the sidewalk. On assessment it was found that ten people from the taxi had been injured whilst four people in the car had also sustained injuries. Paramedics worked to stabilize the injured before transporting them to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.
It is unclear what caused the collision however the necessary authorities were on scene and will be investigating further.
