A 24-year-old pedestrian suffered serious injuries when a light motor vehicle hit him on Park Road in Bloemfontein just before 08:00 this morning.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and treated the man who is suspected to have sustained severe head trauma and was partially conscious.
A combination of the man’s injuries and the badly smashed windscreen of the vehicle indicated that he was hit at considerably high impact.
He was stabilised on scene and transported to Mediclinic Bloemfontein for further medical care.
The relevant investigations are underway.
