Rescue Care paramedics were called to a serious collision involving a Bike on Sarnia Road near Coedmore Road just after 4pm on Friday afternoon.
On arrival paramedics found that three vehicles and a bike had collided on the busy road way. They found the biker lying seriously injured in the roadway. Paramedics immediately began stabilizing the injured biker. Advanced Life Support intervention was required to assist as the patient had suffered possible fractures. Once stabilized the injured biker was placed on a specialized board before being transported to hospital by Rescue Care.
It is unclear what caused the collision however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating the matter further.
Traffic was severely affected as paramedics worked to clear the scene and it was peak hour.
