A biker was left in a critical condition after a bakkie collided with him on Henry Potgieter, Roodepoort, this morning.
ER24 paramedics responded through the heavy traffic to find the driver lying on the side of the road, his bike heavily damaged.
Paramedics immediately began their assessment and treatment of the distressed patient, discovering that he sustained severe injuries on his abdomen, pelvis, chest and collarbones.
After treatment, the patient was taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The driver of the bakkie fortunately did not sustain any injuries.
The cause of the collision is unknown and investigations are underway.
