A 23year old motor bike driver has passed away in a Durban hospital after suffering fatal injuries in a collision with a car at the intersection of Mc Donald Rd and Nicholson Road around 5pm yesterday afternoon.
Rescue Care paramedics arrived to find the critically injured biker laying in the middle of the intersection. Advanced Life Support paramedics immediately set about trying to stabilize the biker. Specialized equipment was utilized to stabilize the injured biker before he was transported to a nearby hospital for the further care that he required. Unfortunately due to the severity of his injuries the young man passed away during the course of the night in hospital. The driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries and was also transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
It is unclear what caused the collision however SAPS were in attendance and will be investigating further.
