ER24 South Metropole paramedic and ambulance were dispatched to Rocklands, Mitchells Plain to the scene of a bus and light motor vehicle collision.
One patient was trapped with the bus, a portion of which lay on the vehicle. Metro Rescue and fire rescue were activated to assist with the rescue and extraction. Jaws of life were utilised to remove the entrapped patient from the wreckage.
After the patient was extricated he was transported to hospital in stable condition.
