A four car pile up on the N3 Durban bound just after Paradise Valley this morning has left five people injured, two seriously slow.
Rescue Care paramedics received a call just after 11:20am that there had been a serious collision involving four vehicles. On arrival paramedics found that five people had sustained various injuries with two sustaining serious injuries. More resources were called to assist as well as Advanced Life Support units. Once more ambulances had arrived and all of the injured had been stabilized they were transported by ER24 and Rescue Care to a nearby hospital for the further care that they required.
It is unclear what caused the multiple vehicles to collided however the necessary authorities were on the scene and will be investigating further.
Traffic was severely affected as the two right hand lanes were obstructed by the damaged vehicles.
