One man was rescued along the R40 between Hazyview and White River, Kwazulu Natal this morning.
Responding ER24 paramedics found the man’s vehicle plunged in the embankment alongside the road.
It appears that the vehicle veered off the roadway and landed in the embankment leaving the man trapped in overnight.
The rescue operation required paramedics to climb down the embankment using rescue rope and thereafter freed the patient from the car using jaws-of-life equipment.
Assessments revealed that he sustained minor injuries for which he was treated and transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
