Shortly after 11:00 this morning paramedics from ER24 and the local fire department attended to a fatal collision on a farm road in Lydenburg.

When paramedics arrived on the scene they found a Nissan that overturned after the driver apparently lost control on the dirt road. Paramedics explained that the road appeared to be in very poor condition due to heavy rains they had the last week.

A man, believed to have been the driver, was found outside the vehicle with fatal injuries. A woman, a sixteen year old and twins were also found on scene. Fortunately they did not sustain any serious injuries and was treated for scrapes and bruises. They were later transported to Lydenburg Provincial Hospital for further medical care.

The incident was handed over to the local police.
