A school boy returning home sustained moderate injuries after colliding with a car in Coedmore Road this afternoon.
Rescue Care paramedics arrived to find the injured biker on the side of the road. He was assessed and found to have possible fractures. Advanced Life intervention was needed to stabilize the injured school boy. Once he had been stabilized on the scene he was transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care that he required.
It is unclear what caused the collision however it is suspected that a vehicle exited a driveway colliding with the biker. Saps were on the scene and will be investigating further.
Traffic was severely affected as only one lane was open for traffic to flow.
