Sixteen people were injured in a head-on collision on Old Main road near Hillcrest, KwaZulu Natal, early this morning.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found two taxis on the side of the road, the occupants of the vehicles sitting on the pavement. Emergency workers immediately treated 16 commuters who sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.
ER24 transported six patients to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The rest of the patients were transported by various other services on scene.
The cause of the collision is not yet known and local authorities were on scene for further investigations
