An eleven-year-old-boy is fighting for his life after he was struck by a vehicle on the R 102 in Illovo beach on the Natal south coast this morning at around 06h15. Reports indicate that the child was trying to cross the road near the Karradene Hotel when he landed in front of a vehicle.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the child lying on the road with life threatening injuries. After the patient was stabilised and deftly immobilized on a trauma board, they transported him to a local hospital for the care that he required.
