One man died while two others were injured in an accident along Croomoor Drive in Chatsworth late last night. Reports from the scene indicate that the vehicle veered off the road into a construction site it then hurtled across the concrete slab of a building and then plunged off the others side coming to rest a few meters below with the occupants still trapped in the twisted frame.
Netcare 911 and the provincial paramedics as well as the fire services arrived at the scene and found one of the men to have sustained life threatening injuries while two others sustained serious injuries. Paramedics and firemen worked tirelessly for some time to try and resuscitate the critically wounded man on scene, tragically though despite their efforts the man died due to the extensive injuries that he sustained.
Paramedics stabilised the other patients on scene before they were transported to a local hospital for the care that he required.
