A cyclist has been injured after a light motor vehicle collided with him on Abramskraal road in Bloemfontein this morning.
ER24 paramedics responded to the scene to find the patient lying on the side of the road.Upon their assessment, paramedics found the patient had sustained a minor bumps and bruises, as well as a suspected concussion.
Paramedics started their treatment of the patient, placing him on a spineboard before promptly transporting him to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
The patient later stated that the light motor vehicle had struck him and apparently drove off without stopping.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
