Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident on the N2 north bound between Tongaat and Ballito in KZN this evening.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that two motor vehicles had collided resulting in a woman tragically losing her life and two people sustaining serious injuries.
One of the vehicles burst into flames and the roadway is obstructed by the wreckages.
The injured people were treated on scene before they were transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
