Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident on the R102 Lind Road near Zinkwazi this afternoon.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a light delivery vehicle had left the roadway, overturned and came to a standstill in a field next to the side of the road.
Eleven people sustained serious injuries and after receiving treatment on scene they were transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
