A female was critically injured after she was struck by a car on the M25 near the Besters off ramp in Kwa Mashu this morning at around 07h00. Reports indicate that the female was trying to run across the roadway when she landed in front of an oncoming vehicle.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and after placing the patient on a ventilator and skillfully immobilizing her on a trauma board, they transported her to a nearby hospital for the specialised care that she required.
